Le projet va durer 42 mois (4 années) et ses activités visent  3 niveaux d’impact privé/public et financements pour l’innovation environnementale:

  • Approche du secteur privé: en intégrant les clusters comme moteurs clés contre les obstacles existants des entreprises et les aider à obtenir des financements.
  • Approche du secteur public : cibler des d’activités spécifiques à l’autorité publique pour accompagner les acteurs du secteur environnemental  et à  la mise en œuvre des politiques vertes.
  • Approche à l’innovation et à  l’environnement économique: s’adresser aux financeurs et aux institutions financières pour promouvoir le financement pour l’innovation dans le secteur de l’environnement  et  contribuer l’amélioration écologique sur le territoire méditerranéen.

Éa est partenaire du projet pour mettre au service de ses adhérents de nouveaux outils pour accéder à des financements nationaux et européens pour l’innovation et la croissance verte.

C’est également, l’occasion de se retrouver dans un partenariat transnational des clusters et d’autorité publiques, qui permettra au cluster d’acquérir de nouveaux savoir-faire et de monter en compétences.

Environmental concerns and sustainability imperative are opening significant and new market opportunities for the green economic sectors and for SMEs in MED area.

Although boosting green innovations and innovative green technologies market uptake calls for significant investments. Assure the financing of innovation in green sectors is a common concern for all MED countries and regions. To answer this challenge, a pool of regions, clusters, higher education and research  centres and development agencies joined in the finMED project, whose aim is to boost the financing of  innovation for green growth sectors through innovative cluster services in the MED area.

The project will deliver concrete outputs and results in terms of:

  • Innovation and business environment, with the creation of a MED network, involving financers and aimed at bridging the gap between green sectors and financers;
  • Role of clusters in better supporting SMEs facing financing obstacles and exploiting existing financial instruments for green investments;
  • Role of regions in assuring the appropriate level of financing for innovation in green sectors, by including the access to finance in political agendas and increasing the use of financial instruments.

finMED approach will benefit MED economic systems by sustaining quadruple helix actors (clusters, public bodies, business support organizations, research centers) and financers in boosting innovation while also positively impacting on the environment.
